By accessing or using SoulName, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service for another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
2. What the Service provides
SoulName is a free creative tool that uses artificial intelligence to suggest Chinese-style names, pinyin, translations, and meaning explanations based on your prompt. No account or purchase is currently required for ordinary use.
The Service is for inspiration and general informational use. It does not provide legal, linguistic, cultural, genealogical, medical, religious, or professional advice.
3. AI output and naming decisions
- AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, culturally inappropriate, or similar to an existing person, brand, character, or protected work.
- We do not guarantee pronunciation, regional suitability, literary origin, uniqueness, availability, legal registrability, trademark clearance, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Before using a generated name for a child, legal identity, business, publication, game, or other important purpose, consult qualified local speakers or advisers and perform appropriate legal and cultural checks.
- You are solely responsible for selecting, checking, and using any generated name.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Break the law, violate another person’s rights, impersonate someone, or facilitate fraud, harassment, hatred, exploitation, or harm.
- Submit personal, confidential, or sensitive information that you do not have the right to process.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, bypass limits, or interfere with the Service or its security.
- Use automated means to make excessive requests or resell access without written permission.
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as professionally verified advice or as guaranteed to be culturally or legally valid.
5. Your prompts and generated content
You retain any rights you have in the text you submit. You grant us and our service providers a limited permission to process that text only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service and comply with law, subject to the Privacy Policy and provider terms.
To the extent permitted by law and third-party rights, you may use generated results for personal or commercial purposes. Because AI can produce the same or similar output for different users, generated results are not exclusive and we do not assign ownership in third-party material.
6. SoulName materials
The Service’s software, interface, branding, visual design, and original site content are owned by or licensed to the SoulName operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the Service; they do not transfer ownership of the Service itself.
7. Third-party services
SoulName relies on third parties, including OpenRouter, model providers, analytics services, geolocation services, and hosting providers. Their services and policies may change, and their own terms may apply to information they process. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
8. Availability and changes
We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of SoulName at any time, including available models, usage limits, features, and free access. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, providers, or comply with law. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
9. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoulName is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the SoulName operator and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, reputation, profits, or opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use the Service or reliance on generated content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the Service or legal requirements change. The revised terms will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
